Tylor turns 12!

Taylor turned 12 this week. I can't even believe how fast the time has gone. She wanted Don's ribs for her birthday dinner. Not only is she smart, she knows great Ribs, they are soooo good.
I love you so much. The pictures of Whitney speak for themselves. LOL

Happy Birthday Taylor

Invitational Weekend.

Wednesday started the Golf Invitational. This year Mike asked our son in law Chad to play. First day is the practice round. Then Wednesday night they have an event called the horse race. How that name came about, considering they are men and they golf I have no idea, I guess I could ask. Jenny and I went out to watch our guys play. They didn't win but we still had fun watching them. Saturday night is the dinner dance. We ate, drank (just a touch) laughed a lot and had a great night. The guys may not have won, but for us they will always be winners.

Special time with grandkids.

This past weekend we had two of our grandchildren. Jenny and Chad went to Chicago for a adult get away. Mike played in a golf tournament on Saturday, while he golfed the girls and I played. I have always believed it is important to take time with just each other. Glad you both had a great time. We did also with the girls. Love you guys

1973 Airstream Land Yacht (AKA) Silver Slipper

I know more pictures of the Silver Slipper. I just needed to show what a great job they did. I love the pull out pantry, and the trays by the couch. We can't wait to take her on the road.

New Granddog..

Later on Saturday, Jenny & Chad came by with a new little puppy. His name is Kobe he is sooo cute. I am so happy for all of you. He will be a nice edition to your family.

Deke & Maggie Take first boat Ride

On Saturday mornings Mike almost always makes us breakfast outside. It was a nice morning and not to hot yet, we decided to take Deke and Maggie for there first boat ride. They seemed to enjoy it. One thing I love is the River Queen. It is always nice when she is out and people can take rides on it. A friend of mine gave me a plaque once that says, If You're Lucky Enough To Have A House By The Water You're Lucky Enough.

Help with Blog

Thank you Nicole for all your help getting my Blog Started.

How the Silver Slipper began

So this is how the silver slipper began. We have good friends that have been camping for several years now. Jim would blog about what they were doing, where they were, and every time I read what they were doing I wanted to be camping with them. So two years ago we went camping with them to Door County WI. This trip we took a pop up camper. Needless to say we had a blast with them. The next year, 2009 we decided to go with them to So. Dakota. This time we rented a class C motor home.. One sunny July afternoon Mike and I were having cocktails on the patio and started talking about maybe getting a RV for ourselves. Well, needless to say we got on e-bay and found the 1973 Airstream. After a couple of anxious days waiting she was ours. Adam went to pick her up for us. Her body was in great shape but, like most of us, needed a little update.
Without Rod she would not be the beauty she is now. Once he got inside he found many things wrong, plumbing, wiring, gray tank, you name it. She had to be gutted. Almost one year later she is almost ready for her first trip.
I decided she needed a name and yes that's how The Silver Slipper got her name.
